Pop Art with folk costume
Inspired by Andy Warhol's iconic images of Marilyn Monroe and Soup Cans, I reinterpreted the Pop Art movement using the figure of a girl dressed in a Romanian folk costume. The way Pop Art celebrates everyday objects made me think of something I would like to see on a daily basis: the folk costume in my country. Although the various pieces of costume have gone out of use at different times during the 20th century, in last few years I have seen an increase in the number of people who wear items of traditional clothing, such as the Romanian blouse.
Uncreated
The character is at the intersection of two worlds, between the real and unreal. The white space that surrounds the figure is the the infinity. The illustration is inspired by poetry written by Ion Barbu, about the uncreated state.
Justice
By drawing the balance made out of human figures I wanted to suggest the idea that justice is built by ourselves. The characters are a family, and parents support their children so that together they create a more correct world. I made this drawing for the campaign called "Romania Reimaginated by Young People". The theme I chose was Justice, and the color associated with it was yellow. The development of the project along the stages is presented in sketchbooks.

Starting from the quotation "till death we do art" I designed a typographical illustration. I created different fonts and positioned the words to create a balanced composition.
Alien
‘’I want a new life/ Forming inside of me/ Blessed and born/ Into this fire’’ (Foo Fighters - Arrows) are the lyrics that inspired me to create this illustration depicting an alien who tears apart his chest, trying to find inside of him something different than the obvious.
